Extensions, Not just for Length... What?

When we hear the word, extensions, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Length. In this blog post I'm going to explain other types of ways extensions can be used, and not just to add that luscious length for the mermaid type hair.

Alright first, I'm gonna hit you with some history education on these! Did you know, extensions originated all the way back to the 3400 BC, yep, you can thank the beautiful Cleopatra for the gorgeous locks and for creating this fashion! Ya'll know I'm a huge history buff when it comes to learning about where hairstyles came from etc.

SO, moving on, extensions, you think length, you thing LONG. I'm here to tell you, you don't just need extensions for length. Thickness, all of us in the back with the thin af hair, yep we hear you! Extensions can create amazing, seamless thickness. Whether it be tape ins, one row of weft, hand tied.. whatever. You can even do a clip in row, but that's an everyday thing and I personally don't got time for that!

When adding in for thickness, get your stylist, or me, to put a row in and cut the hair to you length! INSTANT thickness, its seriously life changing. When I wanted that thick, blunt bob but to create that you needed that thickness on the ends, we just added one row of weft, chopped that baby and viola!!

Now, I know a lot of us have the problem where, our hair is shorter in the front and longer in the back, and not on purpose, we ain't rocking that mullet look because we want to, unless you want to then I'm all for it! BUT most of us aren't, let's be honest. So how do we fix this, do we chop off or length in the back? Our, "tail" LOL. I mean as much as I'd love to, I know a lot of you don't want to lose that length. Lets add a couple pieces of extensions in the front to create length there to match the back? WHAT! YES! Lets! And boom, all of a sudden that length in the back is carried all the way to the front. I know, magic. Also it will help you keep those hot styling tools off your natural hair and more focused on the extension hair, allowing your natural hair to grow!

Seriously, these techniques are so easy to add to any service and literally are life changing for us wanting thick hair or the front pieces to match the back of our hair. Give it a thought, research, ask questions.. always ask questions!! There's no dumb questions, trust me :) Book in for a free consult, anything! You're worthy of beautiful hair, you just gotta go for it and make it happen.

See you next appointment, xo.
